    After the end of the original FAMOUS MONSTERS and before its later revival in the 1990s, Forry was always trying to assemble new publishing projects. Apparently one of those aborted projects was to be titled BEAUTIES AND BEASTS for which I have some unpublished manuscripts. The age of this one is apparent by the rust stain beneath the paper clip on it.

    "BORLAND REMEMBERS BELA." 8 1/2 x 11, 7 single-sided pages of original typescript (not a photocopy). Shown above are pages 1, 2 and 7 (the last page). The B&B on page one indicates that it was done for BEAUTIES & BEASTS and then misplaced in the years before he finally did other projects. Anyone who ever visited his house would know how things could get lost.
    Hand written editing on it by Forrest Ackerman (he always used a red pen). The 1985 written on the typescript dates it to 1985.
