June 10, 1968,

Leonard Oil Company

in Winston-Salem,
Forsyth County, North Carolina.

he Leonard Oil Company was a Texaco
distributor.
The
checks are signed by two men:
(1)
Walter Huey Leonard
(1918-2012), who was
the President of the
Leonard Oil Company,
and who served in the Navy during WWII.
(2)
Henry Foil Craver
(1921-2011), who was
the Secretary-Treasurer of the company,
and who served
three years in the Navy
as an inspector in an aircraft factory.
The first check is in the amount of 5.81
It was made out to the Salem Springs Company, Inc
.
The second check is in the amount of 8.79
It was made out to the Atlas Supply Company
.
The third check is in the amount of 6.22
It was made out to Henry V. Dick & Co
., Inc.
The checks are in very good condition.
The checks are now enclosed in
clear
plastic sleeves, for protection.
