STANDARD "League Model" D B Baseball Bat Circa 1890's to 1900 36" Not Cracked

Description

This bat made by the STANDARD company has the right appearance to be considered a pre 1900 baseball bat.  36" long and in great condition for that age with no cracks, checking or wood loss. Knob is intact and has no inch marks or other stamping.  The center label is oval in shape and the markings appear to be the old style painted type, such as seen on the Spalding Wagon Tongue  and other pre turn of the century models. Very long slightly taped hitting surface so typical of 19th century bats.  Great period display bat!
