WARNING:
1.The detector’s ability to detect objects is affected by the proximity of other equipment that produce strong magnetic or electromagnetic fields and by moisture, metallic building materials, foil-laminated insulation materials and conductive wallpaper. 4.Before penetrating surface (such as with a drill, router, saw or nail), always shut off the electrical power, gas and water supplies. Cutting, drilling, etc. into these items when operation can result in personal injury.
5.When the tool is not placed on the wall and is in the wood detection mode, it will complete the automatic calibration in the air. If the tool is placed on the wall, an error alarm signal will appear. At this time you need to press briefly the wood detection mode button to manually calibrate the stud finder.

How To Find The Exact Location Of The Stud
Step 1
Place the tool flat against the wall, then press briefly the power button. The default is metal detection mode, then press briefly the wood detection mode button (shown in the picture) to enter the wood stud detection mode. Without moving the tool, until the green light illuminates. It means that the tool has completed automatic calibration.
Step 2
Slide the tool horizontally and slowly across the wall, left or right. As you begin to approach a stud, the scale on the right side of the screen will increase, and the percentage below the scale will also increase. When the red light illuminates and a audio tone sounds, the edge of the stud is located. DO NOT DRILL HERE! Mark this spot at the groove.
Step 3
Continue scanning beyond marked spot until the scale disappears and the percentage is 0%. Please note that when you lift the tool and then put it on the wall for detection, an error alarm signal will appear, you must press briefly the wood detection button to manually calibrate it.
Step 4
Without lifting the tool off or changing the applied pressure, repeat the process (Step 2) in the opposite direction and mark the opposite edge of the stud. The center of the stud is midway between the two marks. To make the detection results more reliable, when the center is marked, please slide the tool across the wall again to check if the center is near the location of the highest percentage.

AC Wire Detection
The wire detection mode is suitable only for detecting “live” AC Wires (110V-250V / 40Hz- 60Hz).The maximum detection depth is 50mm.If the wire is detected, the red light will flash and the buzzer will beep.
Moisture Measurement
The instrument can measure the moisture of wood and building materials. If you need to freeze the value, just press “HOLD” button. The detection range is 5%-50% and 1.5%-33%. (There are two test pins at the bottom of the instrument)
Multiple Detection Indicator
Three color light and audio tone indicate the location of the target.The percentage of signal strength on the screen helps to distinguish the deepness of targets.Detection mode, battery indication can be seen with maximum readability.
